AUSTRALIAN APPRENTICESHIPS
- Information for Employees
What is an Australian Apprenticeship?
An Australian Apprenticeship (also known as new apprenticeship)
is a flexible employment based training arrangement where you, as
the employee, enter into a formal training contract with your employer
and a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) such as TAFE Tasmania.
The contract is registered with the State Training Authority.
Why undertake an Australian Apprenticeship?
Recent changes to the national Australian Apprenticeship Scheme give you
greater flexibility and choice in determining the nature of the
training agreement. There is no better time than now to take advantage
and tailor a training program to meet your job needs.
Ask yourself:
 |
Are
you currently employed or looking
to start a new job? |
 |
Would you like to gain a
formal nationally recognised
qualification while you are
working? |
 |
Do you have experience or
skills that can be recognised? |
 |
Do you want to train on and/or
off-the-job? |
| |
|
| |
If you answered yes to any
of the above questions, an Australian
Apprenticeship could be for
you. |
