About Australian Apprenticeships
A definition …
An Australian Apprenticeship (also known as new apprenticeship)
is a flexible employment based training arrangement where you, as
the employer, enter into a formal training contract with a new or
existing employee. The contract is registered with the State Training
Authority.
Australian Apprenticeships combine practical experience in the workplace
and training.
Your business, your terms …
Recent changes to the national Australian Apprenticeship Scheme give you
greater flexibility and choice in determining the nature of the
training agreement. There is no better time than now to take advantage
and tailor a training program to meet your business’ specific
needs.
Ask yourself:
 |
 |
Do you want to expand your
workforce or up-skill or retrain
existing employees? |
 |
|
Do you want to train your
employees on and/or off-the-job? |
 |
|
Do you want the flexibility
to employ and train staff on
a full or part-time basis? |
 |
|
Would you like to receive
up to $4,400* per employee
for training? |
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you should seriously
consider the Australian Apprenticeship
Scheme. There could be significant benefits for your business and your employees.
*Additional incentives are available for certain disadvantaged
or priority classifications.
