TAFEConnect - Access to Work and Training

You can join a free TAFE Connect course and develop job seeking, study and employability skills, and gain more confidence.

Who should enrol in this qualification?

People who are seeking to enter, or re-enter, employment or further training, especially those who may have previously experienced barriers to succeeding in learning or employment.

Do I need any skills?

There are no pre-requisites for the course, however guidance as to which learning pathway is best for you will be provided prior to course commencement.

How long will it take?

Most courses run 20 hours per week for 10 weeks.

Where can I learn?

Face to face in Hobart, Burnie, Devonport and Launceston, and suitable venues in rural and suburban areas.

How will I learn?

The program provides a range of workplace relevant, job seeking and personal development learning activities, focussed on employability skills. There will be group instruction, individual tuition, self paced learning and peer support. You will learn in a supportive adult environment.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment happens in a variety of ways – written tasks, discussions and observations. Assessment will be ongoing during the course, as well as completion of holistic assessment tasks.

When I complete this training, what’s next?

Further study or career options may include:

  • Other study options
