Aged Care Services Improvements in health care and
medical technologies are ensuring
people are living longer than
ever before. To accommodate these increases, service providers
require more qualified staff
to work in Aged Care facilities,
private homes and other service industries.
For those who enjoy supporting families and working with people
to maintain their independence, the Aged Care industry offers a
rewarding career with a variety of opportunities to work one-to-one
or as facilitators, supervisors, coordinators or managers.
With the move away from institutional
care for those with a disability
and an increase in longevity
of many other people within our community, there has been an increase
in the need for qualified staff
in the area of leisure and recreation.
Whether as staff working
in a residential or day service
setting, operating out of larger facilities
or a private home, there are
many rewarding opportunities for staff skilled in organising and
facilitating a range of leisure
and
recreational activities.
The Tasmanian environment and lifestyle in particular offers a
diverse range of career prospects, whether as an individual or group
facilitator, coordinator or manager.
