Nuts about engineering?

People in this industry are responsible for the planning, design and manufacture of a vast range of equipment, infrastructure and systems. Engineering projects range from building roads and bridges to designing small components for machines and other equipment.

The Diplomas and Advanced Diplomas enable you to work as a para-professional or at associate engineer level, and qualifies you for membership of the Institute of Engineers (Australia). The qualification is also recognised by the University of Tasmania which grants up to 18 months credit towards an engineering degree.

Engineers may work in many areas, including:

Councils Construction companies
Government agencies
Engineering consultancy

Introduction to CAD

If you want to learn to draw using a computer and create professional plans using AutoCAD software or just update your current CAD skills then this is the course for you.

3-D CAD and Parametric Modelling using AutoCAD Inventor/Viz.

This unit can be taken as a stand alone unit or as part of the Diploma in Engineering or CAD.  Familiarity with AutoCAD 2-D environment is essential.

Duration: This qualification is held
full-time over 12 weeks

Steam Plant Operations

Some competencies are offered that articulate into the Certificate III in Steam Plant Operations (as a part qualification).  The qualification is run subject to sufficient demand.

 

Participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment listing the successfully completed units.

Renewable Energy
