Food Processing
Food Processing is the largest manufacturing industry in Australia and to remain competitive in the global market place, the industry needs to minimise cost of production whilst ensuring quality output. TAFE Tasmania can work with enterprises to ensure training is targeted at building a highly skilled workforce with new and more extensive skills. All qualifications offered are workplace based and can be customised to individual and enterprise needs.

Seafood Industry
TAFE Tasmania seafood industry training covers:
- Aquaculture
- Post harvest including seafood processing, sales and distribution
Australian Apprenticeships Available:
- The Seafood Industry (Seafood Processing), Certificate I, II & III
Comprising competencies relevant to people working in the seafood processing sector from introduction and basic skills (Certificate I) through to skilled workers and leading hands (Certificate III).
- The Seafood Industry (Seafood Sales and Distribution), Certificate II, III & IV
Comprising competencies relevant to people working in the sales and distribution sector of the Seafood Industry (wholesale and/ or retail).
All qualifications offered are workplace based and can be customised to individual and enterprise needs.
