Hospitality (Kitchen Operations)

Description
The units of training are drawn from the national training package. They comprise the required training for pre-apprentices as well as develop an understanding of commercial cookery within the Hospitality Industry. The training is relevant to any person wishing to pursue a career in cookery.
Do I need any skills?
Essential: Entry is dependant on an interview process.
How long will it take?
Full-time - 3 weeks,
Monday - Friday (9am - 4pm)

How will I be assessed?
Throughout all assessments, Occupation Health and Safety procedures must be followed.
When you apply to train at TAFE Tasmania you can ask for recognition of previous VET in schools, work or study experience. This is called Recognition of Current Competencies (RCC) or Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
When I complete this training, what’s next?
Opportunities to progress to the Certificate II in Hospitality (Kitchen Operations) may be available.
