Caravan Park Operations
Certificate II (THC20499)
Employees work in a Caravan Park and perform a range of activities, usually with a tourism/administration focus or a grounds and maintenance focus. In a small caravan park both activities may be covered.
Certificate III (THC30499)
Employees work in a caravan park where duties may include: working as administrator and tourism consultant in the front office of a caravan park or maintaining the aesthetic appearance and presentation of a caravan park or a multi skilled person working in a small caravan park.
Certificate IV (THC40499)
Employees work in a caravan park where duties may include: working as administrator and tourism consultant in the front office of a caravan park or maintaining the aesthetic appearance and presentation of a caravan park or a multi skilled person working in a small caravan park.
Attractions and Theme Parks
Certificate III (THT30702)
Employees will be either specialist or multi-skilled operators in Attractions and Theme Parks. Occupations may include sales and office operations, meetings and events organisers, tour operations, guiding, food and beverage work and security.
Retail Travel Sales
Certificate III (THT30202)
Employees will be working in the role of retail travel consultants in a domestic market. This role includes sales and office operations, and planning and product development. Use of computer technology will be prominent.
International Retail Travel Sales
Certificate III (THT30302)
Employees will be working in the role of international travel consultants. This role includes sales and office operations, and planning and product development. Use of computer technology will be prominent.
Tourism (Operations)
Certificate III (THT31002)
Employees will perform a range of office administration and customer contact tasks with some independence within a small tourism business.
Certificate IV (THT40202)
Employees will be applying a broad range of skills including evaluation and planning, leadership and guidance to others.
Visitor Information Services
Certificate III (THT30602)
Employees will be working in the information services sector or a dual information and sales function in tourism destinations. Duties will include office operations, planning and product development, sales and marketing, and guiding.
Meetings and Events
Certificate III (THT30102)
Employees will be working in a supporting role coordinating meetings and events.
Guiding
Certificate III (THT30902)
NATURE BASED SITE GUIDE / COACH CAPTIAN
Employees will be acting in the role of guides operating with significant independence. Skills include organisation, driving a vehicle, and promotion of products and service to customers.
TOURISM GUIDE
Employees will be acting in the role of guides operating with significant independence. Skills include organisation, research and presenting information and promotion of products and service to customers. Employees may be required to communicate in a language other than English.
Outdoor Recreation (Multiple Activities)
Certificate II (SRO20303)
Employees participate in the conduct of multiple outdoor recreation activities under supervision. Approximately 20 Activity specialisation options are available in areas such as climbing, canoeing, trail horse riding and skiing.
Certificate III (SRO30303)
Employees independently guide or instruct in multiple outdoor recreation activities. Over 30 Activity specialisation options are available in areas such as abseiling, canoeing instruction, SCUBA instruction, mountain biking guiding and skiing.
