Career Voyage by JigCal - The Computerised Career Search
What is it?
Career Voyage is a computer assisted career guidance and information
software program. It is based on questions relating to a person’s
interests and life experiences.
There are five different levels to choose from to match
people's goals and educational levels, each with appropriate
vocabulary
and questions.
Each person can choose a level that they feel is appropriate
to their own situation. It is suitable for all ability levels
and health or disability factors can be taken into consideration.
It takes about an hour to complete. A printed report is provided
outlining a person’s interests and matching those interests
to 20 job suggestions. Some of these jobs may not have been
heard of or previously considered.
Career Voyage confirms (or otherwise) existing ideas and
provides back-up options. Career Voyage can provide fresh
ideas that can be developed.
The program is user friendly. People find it fun! It is
an excellent starting point for further discussion and research
with a Career Adviser.
