Disability Action Plan
We at TAFE Tasmania are committed to achieving open and equitable
access to vocational education and training for you.
Our Disability Action Plan, implemented in 1997, provides
objectives and strategies designed to improve your access,
participation and successful outcomes in vocational education
and training.
The Commonwealth Disability Discrimination Act of 1992 is
a law which provides protection for everyone in Australia
against discrimination based on disability and ensures that
people with a disability are treated fairly. The Act makes
it illegal for educational institutions or staff to discriminate
directly or indirectly, against a person with a disability.
The Disability Action Plan can be obtained from a Disability
Liaison Officer. See Contact
Us - Disability Liaison Officers.
